Eric Vandendriessche is a Los Angeles-based fitness professional, movement specialist, and creator of the instability-based training systems AQUA STAND UP® and B-BOARD®.

Originally from France, Eric developed innovative fitness concepts combining balance training, aquatic movement, functional fitness, and instability-based workouts designed to improve coordination, posture, body awareness, and full-body engagement on water and land.

Through dynamic movement experiences, Eric continues exploring new ways to make fitness more interactive, functional, and engaging for all levels.

From France to Los Angeles: A Passion for Movement & Innovation

Eric Vandendriessche developed a passion for sports, movement, and fitness from an early age. Fascinated by balance, coordination, and human movement, he became increasingly interested in how instability could transform traditional workouts into more dynamic and engaging training experiences.

After moving from France to Los Angeles, Eric continued exploring innovative approaches to fitness by combining aquatic movement, balance training, posture control, and functional fitness concepts designed to challenge the body in new ways.

This vision eventually led to the creation of AQUA STAND UP® and B-BOARD® — two original instability-based workout systems developed to improve coordination, stabilizer muscle activation, body awareness, core engagement, and movement quality through workouts performed on water and land.

Today, Eric works with individuals, aquatic facilities, fitness communities, wellness programs, and movement enthusiasts looking for creative and effective approaches to balance and functional training.

The Philosophy Behind the Movement

Eric Vandendriessche believes fitness should go beyond repetitive workouts and traditional gym routines.

By introducing instability into movement, the body continuously adapts through balance, coordination, posture control, stabilizer muscle activation, and neuromuscular engagement. This dynamic approach creates workouts that improve body awareness, functional movement, movement efficiency, and overall wellbeing.

Whether performed on water with AQUA STAND UP® or on land with B-BOARD®, the goal is to create low-impact yet challenging fitness experiences that combine movement, creativity, coordination, and functional training.

This philosophy remains at the center of every class, training session, workshop, and fitness concept developed by Eric Vandendriessche.
